Consultants unveil design recommendations to restore Rosseau Memorial Hall
Seguin, ON (October 6, 2023) – After months of in person and online consultation, heritage consultants at ERA Architects on Friday September 29 shared their proposed three-phase approach to restoring Rosseau Memorial Hall.
The team presented a summary of community survey and workshop findings, the most urgent needs, and solutions to meet the community’s vision for the historic space. Their ideas inspired conversations and excitement among those gathered who discussed the vision while sharing a meal at a community potluck hosted by The Creative Hands of Rosseau.
“I’d like to thank everyone in our community who have taken the time to share their ideas and vision for this beautiful and historic building,” says Dominique O’Brien, Director of Community Services at Seguin Township. “We know that many people feel very connected to this building and what it represents in our community. I’d like to thank ERA Architects for their thoughtful and thorough approach to crafting these designs. I believe our community feels they are very much reflected in the proposed solutions. We look forward to next steps.”
In celebration of Rosseau Memorial Hallʼs upcoming centennial, the Township of Seguin is embarking on a campaign to enhance this beloved community space.
The Township is working with heritage consultants at ERA Architects to gather feedback about what the community values most about the Memorial Hall and to assess the Hallʼs current strengths and opportunities for improvement.
We want to hear from you about your experience using the Hall, what you value about it, and how it could it be improved.

There is still an opportunity to share your ideas. Please join us on Friday, September 29 from 5:30pm-7:30pm for a special Open House and Potluck event with ERA Architects. The potluck will be hosted by Creative Hands of Rosseau. Bring your favourite dish. Beverages and drinks will be provided.
