Thank you for your interest in Seguin Township's branding project. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure that Seguin Township's visual identity accurately portrays who we are now and who we are striving to become to achieve our full potential and a thriving, prosperous community.

Please note that we are at an information-gathering stage. Whether our brand identity is entirely re-imagined or simply refreshed, the Township will implement the visual identity, gradually, as needed. So, when signage and other infrastructure reaches end of life, it would be replaced to include the updated elements. There would not be sweeping replacements of functional assets. This will ensure we are keeping costs to a minimum.

Our current brand identity was created before digital communications was so prevalent. With new and emerging communications technology and needs, and a website rebuild on the horizon, road signs that have reached end of life, it’s an appropriate time to assess our visual identity with assets that reflects modern needs, including accessibility.

COMPLETE THE SURVEY!

To determine the next steps for this exciting project, it’s critical that the Township engage its community and stakeholders to gauge their appetite for it, as well as audit the Township’s current identity. The Townships has engaged an external agency, Cinnamon Toast, to help lead this project. You can learn more about them below.

Seguin Township's Current Logo(s)

The logo on the left was created in 2008. It is the official logo of the Township according to Seguin’s branding guidelines. However, the ‘straight’ logo on the right, originally created to act as a secondary logo, has been used more frequently in the last few years as its simplicity and shape makes it’s more appropriate for various communications needs, specifically online communications. The official logo has a few design challenges – including the shape and its size in ratio to the name, complex colour scheme, small serif font in the tagline (which is not accessible in many contexts).

This engagement process will help us to determine what, if anything, our community likes most about the current logo, while creating consistency and branding guidelines that reflect current needs. Please participate in our quick poll (in the menu to the right) to share your thoughts.
