Seguin Township Council adopted the Strategic Plan as presented at the November 6 Meeting of Council.

We appreciate that many of you took the time to provide feedback on our work to date.

Thank you to those who responded to Draft 1 of Seguin Township's Strategic Plan. We heard some concern that the document did not clearly convey Seguin's commitment to prioritize the environment. We have made revisions to ensure that this draft of the Strategic Plan demonstrates that the environment remains our priority during this term of council and beyond. Prioritizing the environment is the first foundation upon which all actions and decisions will be made.

LIBRARY STRATEGIC PLAN UPDATE: Seguin Township Public Libraries Strategic Plan was approved by the Board at their October meeting (you can review this document in the panel to the right).


Thank you to all of those in our community who shared their ideas about what staff and Council should prioritize in the years to come, during this term of Council and beyond.

The team has collected findings from our youth survey and community survey, a special meeting of council, thought leader workshops*, staff consultation, and youth engagement, to draft a new strategic plan for the Township as well as a draft plan for our library.

Please take a moment to review the documents and share your thoughts and feedback by October 20, 2023.

Art Contest Samples - Your Community. Your Future.

We launched this art contest is May 2023, inviting students to show us how our neighbourhoods, parks, libraries, community spaces, programs, villages and natural spaces should look in the future.

Students were invited to paint a scene, create a collage and let their creativity shine! Here is a sample of some of the entries.

Thank you to Humphrey Public School, Principal Dawn Buckland, Pam Moorehouse, Pam Newton and all of teachers who helped to support this project.

A huge shout out to the artists who shared their ideas and creativity!
